Red River Sprint Series schedule set to ramp up in June

Fargo, N.D. (May 30, 2024) - Persistent rain across the valley in the month of May has made for a slow start to the racing season, canceling over half of the scheduled events. But things are set to pick up as the calendar shifts to June.

With just one complete series race in the books, and two completed shows overall, the series fell victim to rain once again Monday night as the debut at Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon came to an end after Marcus Rotherbacher won the heat race.

Two races have been completed at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo and it's been all Andy Pake as he heads into Friday night at the three-eighths mile oval undefeated. Pake won the opener, which was also a Red River Sprint Series points event on May 10 then followed that up the following week with a convincing victory over the rest of the field.

Eight IMCA Sprint Car races are on the docket for the month of June with four of those set as Red River Sprint Series events. A return to Lisbon on June 9th is followed by visits to River Cities Speedway on June 14th, I-94 emr Speedway on June 28th, and Buffalo River Speedway on June 30th.

Three weekly shows at Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN and another weekly meet up on June 21st at Red River Valley rounds out the month of June.
